Performing Arts in North Carolina

CARY, NC – An afternoon of show tunes, high-energy choreography and powerful pipes is in store at Cary’s Sertoma amphitheatre in Fred G. Bond Metro Park as the Town of Cary’s Spring/Summer Sertoma Series continues. SAS show choir, VocalMotion, and its stage band Audio Kudzu will perform a Broadway-style musical revue that includes a wide variety of music on May 18 at 3 p.m. The all-volunteer adult group is sponsored by SAS and is composed of employees and friends of SAS.

“Always a family favorite, the area’s top show choir is set to perform hits that will get you out of your seat and on your feet,” said Sarah Preston, Performing Arts Coordinator.

Sertoma Series concerts require no tickets, and are free and open to the public. While picnics, lawn chairs, blankets and leashed pets are welcomed, alcohol is not permitted. In the event of inclement weather, real-time concert information will be available at (919) 462-3969 three hours prior to the concert.

This is the last Sertoma Series concert this month; June concerts as part of the 2013 Spring/Summer Sertoma Series include The Old North State Brass Band on June 1; the Triangle Brass Band on June 7; and Erin McDermott on June 15.
