Class of 2015 Graduates at William Enloe High School

I listened to interfaith leaders  who gathered the wisdom of their respective religions Christian, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim in a graduation ceremony at Enloe High School on June 4. These leaders said that as God’s children, we share so much in common, and it is from our diversity that we draw strength. They advised students to value the deeds and actions that earn the affection and respect of the community, to travel the four corners of the earth, and to do unto others as you would do unto yourself. They advised you to have fun this summer, and also keep the next goal in mind, to never be satisfied with a glass ceiling, to always reach for your goals no matter the obstacles, and to love your neighbor and your community and celebrate their success as if it is your own success.
The tough parts of high school are obvious: attending school everyday, staying organized, overcoming fear and fatigue, and trying your best, all the exams, too many exams, and applying to college and accepting the results, facing rejection, and finding a place. Yet as parents and school leaders, we've witnessed your fortitude, courage, creativity, and integrity.
We know that your education will serve you well in life, it will make you an informed citizen, an active problem solver, a kind and decent human being. We hope that the love and faith we provided you will help guide you in all your decisions, that you discover joy and satisfaction in your work and in the company you keep. We wish you a life of creativity and to strive to be a winner, and to be of service to others.
We hope on your journey, doors are open to you and that you know you can always come home. You have a place in our hearts forever.
We hope our daughter and all the daughters and sons of the world find the same opportunities. May God bless and protect you.
