The High Holidays are believed to be the most inspirational period of the Jewish year. For many Jews, however, the High Holidays can be difficult, hours of sitting through services understanding little of the prayers or deeper meaning of the day. Chabad of Cary, in conjunction with the Jewish Learning Institute, will be offering a special Holiday education series to the community. In this three part course we will explore the esoteric and kabalistic meaning behind these special days. We hope to give you a refreshing perspective which is sure to bring a newfound appreciation and excitement to your Holidays. The course will be held for three Tuesdays days beginning on August 27th at 11:45 am at Chabad of Cary at 909 Reedy Creek Rd in Cary. There are no fees for these classes but donations are appreciated. A delicious Kosher Lunch is also served at the classes. The lessons will be presented by Rabbi Yisroel Cotlar. “Whether you consider yourself a Reform, Conservative, Orthodox or an Unaffiliated Jew this class will bring meaning and insight which will enhance your holidays no matter where you attend services” says Rabbi Yisroel. Like all JLI courses, this series presents the fundamentals of Judaism in a way that is both challenging yet accessible. Students will have the opportunity to encounter classic primary texts and engage in thoughtful, open discussion. Three Tuesdays beginning on August 27th from 11:45-12:30 pat Chabad of Cary 909 Reedy Creek Rd. Cary NC. Open to the public. No fee. For more information or to RSVP please call 919-651-9710 or visit www.chabadofcary.org.
